Seducing the Viscount by Deborah Raleigh
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
It was alright, but I was getting sick of the amount of times aunt Ella’s hands were described as ‘plump’. Both Mercy (the female MC) and Ian (the male MC) kept mentioning Ella’s plumpness in the most unexpected of times, it was weird.
(Ian describing his ‘aunt’ in the first chapter)
And if he was not mistaken, he would say that her curves had become somewhat plumper beneath the violet silk gown.
(Chapter 4)
Crossing the black-and-white tiled floor, Ian grasped his aunt’s plump fingers and raised them to his lips.
(Chapter 4 again!)
[…] “No.” Ella’s plump hands fluttered at the question. “No, of course not.”
(Chapter 8)
Mercy patted Ella’s plump hand and offered a reassuring smile.
(Chapter 10)
“Nonsense.” Ella waved a plump hand. “A brief stroll is just what you need, my dear.”
(Chapter 13)
Taking the older woman’s hand in her own, Mercy gave the plump fingers a soft squeeze.
(Chapter 16)
“Why not?” She gave a wave of her plump hand. “I know you have come to care for Mercy.”
(Surprise! Chapter 16 again!)
Something flickered over Ella’s plump countenance before she was sternly giving a shake of her head.
Plump here… Plump there… Plumpiness everywhere! If I never see the word “plump” ever again it would be too soon!
