Enchant the Night by Amanda Ashley
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
I had high hopes for this book – the cover description looked so interesting!
It was just so boring, unfortunately. The characters were so dull and wishy-washy. The first 50% was of the female MC showering, going out for a movie, going out for dinner, or having a chat with her best friend. Did she have any semblance of life? I understand she was well comfortable financially, so she didn’t have to work at all, but still… I would have liked to see some kind of passion for something! It is mentioned she dabbles in photography, but it seems to happen only once in a blue moon! As soon as she meets Quill (the male MC) she starts cancelling all her future photography jobs… It was disappointing.
Oh! And Quill… What can I say about him? He was so tame, with barely any character. By the way, for being a person that was born in the Middle Ages, he sure has a strange name!
And the whole story that he had slept with her grandmother in the past?? I didn’t know what to make of that O.o
All in all, the novel was extremely repetitive and boring. Then the action started, but by then they had lost me.
